First Oly

Well this weekend is my first Olympic Distance Tri, it is the Evergreen Lake Tri down in Normal, IL. I will be heading out on Friday night as I do not feel like getting up at the ass crack of dawn to drive down.

I will say I am a little nervous about the swim as I have never swam that far in a race before but that is the majority of the purpose of this race to prepare for the Half IM in October. Swimming last night at the local quarry helped as we were swimming six and eight hundred sets and the one thing I learned is that the longer I went the better I felt so feeling a little better about the whole thing. The one downside is that the water is quite warm so it will me a no wetsuit race, darn.

Let's see how it goes and hopefully it won't get rained out.
