In order to add some base miles the basis is 31 days straight running challenge. We have put the emphasis on time rather than millage. This is key, it will allow you build some smaller runs without emphasizing distance and time and hopefully lead to a better base without injuring yourself this early in the year. We were going to just do a minimum across the board but we decided to get a little more fancy, just because we are tools like that and added in some minimum goals for each day. If you stick with the minimum and run an average of 8:00 minute miles you should be able to hit 115 miles for the month (This was Rick's math and I didn't check it so it may or may not be right, probably depends on if Susan did it for him). So join in if you want as I attached the breakdown below:

Running Challenge
So after some intense deliberations (not really just the usual procrastination) we (Rick, Hillard and I) have come to an agreement on our December Run Challenge. This is inspired by the typical slowtwitch challenges but with our own spin added.

I ran 25 min today at exactly 8 min miles. I can apply that to December, right?! Okay, maybe not but at least I know I can still run.
Now you doubt my math skills? Should be fun, and it will be that extra boost to get out the door when you don't feel like it!
